Adult Bible Study:Women in the Old Testament, Part OneBible study is an opportunity to encounter God as well as learn about who we are as a Church. When people study God’s Word together in groups, they have an opportunity to know each other on a deeper level than is usually possible. It becomes an opportunity to build community and to extend that community in care for others.

Family Faith FormationProgram
Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Faith Formation Programs of Holy Cross and St. Patrick’s Churches is to assist families in leading their children to faith in Jesus Christ and the Gospel message. We invite children to know, love and serve God, and encourage them to share more deeply in the truths, traditions and celebrations of the Catholic Church.
Our Programs:
Holy Cross and St. Patrick's Churches offer a family program: Growing Up Catholic Faith Stories. The story-based approach focuses on the core of our Catholic faith and provides opportunities for parents to share their faith with their children.
Holy Cross and St. Patrick's Churches ofrecerá un programa familiar: Crecer en la Fe Catolica: Historias de Fe. El enfoque basado en historias se centra en el núcleo de nuestra fe católica y brinda oportunidades para que los padres compartan su fe con sus hijos.
A home study program is also available. The Faith Formation Office will provide materials and support for you to successfully complete the lessons. This is a wonderful way for the family to learn together and grow in faith.

Sacramental Preparation -First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
We invite you and your child to prepare with us for the sacraments of
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
We will use a process for preparing your child called Growing Up Catholic - available for two age groups (7-9, 10-14). In this process, YOU become the actual teacher of your child, but we guide you through every step. This is a memorable time of your child’s life – and the memories you make during this preparation period will be cherished for a long time.

Sacramental Preparation - Confirmation
Holy Cross and St. Patrick's parishes provide, every other year, a spiritual preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. The main component of the preparation is a process of liturgical catechesis which explores the mysteries of faith through symbol, ritual and story. This process of initiation is done in the midst of family, peers, sponsors, and mentors who will renew their own faith while providing supportive and witnessing relationships to the candidates.

Becoming Catholic: Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
Welcome! Are you thinking of becoming Catholic? Would you like to know about the process of becoming Catholic?
Whether you are simply curious to learn more about the Catholic faith or seriously considering joining the Catholic Church, we are here to accompany you on that journey.
Many adults entering the Catholic Church, or those just thinking about it, follow a process known as OCIA—Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. OCIA is an educational and spiritual formation process in which those new to the Catholic faith are instructed and guided throughout the year. These newcomers then receive the Sacraments of Initiation– Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist - during the Easter celebration.Who is OCIA for?
The OCIA is for:- Unbaptized persons over the age of 7 (known as catechumens)
- Adults Baptized in another Christian faith, who wish to become Catholic (known as candidates)
- Baptized Catholics who wish to receive First Communion and/or Confirmation (also referred to as candidates).
